Baseball Recap: Lawton Wolverines vs. Comanche Indians
Lawton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 29th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Comanche Indians. If the Wolverines were looking for revenge after losing 13-1 to the Indians when the teams met back in March of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Adrian Garrison spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Corbyn Swift and Qynn Plata did some serious damage despite the final result: Swift scored a run and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Plata went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.
