Baseball Game Preview: Hillcrest Huskies vs. Cottonwood Colts

For the second straight game, Hillcrest will face off against Cottonwood. The Huskies will challenge the Colts at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hillcrest has now lost 15 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 17.

Hillcrest came up short against Cottonwood on Tuesday, falling 16-6.

For Cottonwood's part, the team relied heavily on Brighton Young, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI Young has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Daxton Sorensen, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Cottonwood lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Cottonwood's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-7. As for Hillcrest, their loss dropped their record down to 2-19.
