Basketball Recap: Edinburg/South Fork's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Edinburg/South Fork came into Thursday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They snuck past the Ramsey Rams with a 47-42 win on Thursday.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kelsey Hayes, who posted seven points and 17 boards. Hayes is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 12 or more in the last four games she's played. Jenni Mezo was another key player, putting up seven points and four steals.

Edinburg/South Fork's victory bumped their record up to 16-13. As for Ramsey, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edinburg/South Fork will face off against Bunker Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ramsey, they and Martinsville will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
