Football Game Preview: Enumclaw Hornets vs. Kennewick Lions + How To Watch

The Enumclaw Hornets will square off against the Kennewick Lions at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Friday, Enumclaw made easy work of Shorewood and carried off a 42-20 win.

Gavin Trachte and Maddox Hendrickson were among the main playmakers for Enumclaw as the former threw for 106 yards and one touchdown on only nine passes and the latter rushed for 36 yards and one TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Enumclaw was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 266 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shorewood only rushed for 126.

Meanwhile, Kennewick was fully in charge on Saturday, breezing past West Seattle 35-7. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Lions' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 25th, while West Seattle are ranked 89th).

The victory made it two in a row for Kennewick and bumps their season record up to 8-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.0 points over those games. As for Enumclaw, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.

Enumclaw suffered a grim 40-20 defeat to Kennewick when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
