Marlington had already won nine in a row and they went ahead and made it ten on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Triway Titans by a score of 3-1. The Dukes have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Titans, too.

Marlington was especially dominant in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-20, 19-25, 25-21, 25-13.

Danica Sarchione paced Marlington's offense, picking up 21 kills. Sarchione got some help from Cali Young and her 39 assists. Sarchione was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Reagan Underwood, who had 22 digs and one assist. Another player making a difference was Tori Manley, who had 11 digs and two aces.

Marlington's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Triway, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 9-3 record.

Marlington and Triway should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Dukes (ranked 87th) will meet Minerva (ranked 408th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Triway will take on Canton South at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (196 vs. 718).
