Basketball Game Preview: Sharp Academy Sabers vs. Accelerate Christian Warriors

The Sharp Academy Sabers will head out to take on the Accelerate Christian Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Sharp Academy and 11 for Accelerate Christian.

Sharp Academy is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against West Texas T back in December of 2024 (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Sharp Academy was dealt an 87-26 loss at the hands of West Texas T. The Sabers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-15.

Sharp Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Timothy Rodriguez, who posted eight points in addition to 18 rebounds and six steals, and Michael Boyles, who had nine points. That was a full 34.6% of Sharp Academy's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Meanwhile, Accelerate Christian was beaten by Pringle-Morse 70-32 on Tuesday.

Sharp Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Accelerate Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
