Soccer Game Preview: Beatrice vs. Lakeview

The Beatrice Orangemen will venture away from home to challenge the Lakeview Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Beatrice's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Beatrice is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Standing Bear just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Grizzlies by a score of 4-3.

Meanwhile, Lakeview fell victim to Aurora and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 7-0 to the Huskies. Lakeview haven't had much luck with Aurora recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Lakeview's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Beatrice, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Beatrice came out on top in a nail-biter against Lakeview in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Orangemen since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
