Softball Recap: Mcpherson Beats Mulvane for Their Fifth Straight Win

McPherson extended their winning streak to five on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 5-0 in the process. They were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Mulvane Wildcats. The Bullpups' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Carmin Pavlovich was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Haely Hagemann, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

McPherson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

As for Mulvane, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

On Mulvane's side, Reese Lazier made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Kiki Warner also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

McPherson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mulvane, they will challenge Pratt at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
