Eaton is a perfect 10-0 against Oakwood since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Eagles will square off against the Lumberjacks at 5:00 p.m. Eaton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Eaton came out on top against Talawanda on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Eagles took their contest against the Brave 8-4. The game was the first time the Eagles have beaten the Brave on their field since May 3, 2018.

Eaton let Kaydence Cook and Ella Statzer run wild. Cook went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Statzer went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. That triple was Cook's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Julie Schrimper, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Oakwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 15-3 to Cedarville.

Reed Archdeacon was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Eaton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Oakwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Oakwood's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Eaton has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Oakwood, though, as they've been averaging only 3.2 strikeouts. Will Eaton keep running through batters, or will the Lumberjacks buck the trend?

Eaton took their win against Oakwood in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
