Softball Recap: Arbor View Takes a Loss

After flying high against Reno on Friday, Arbor View came back down to earth. Arbor View took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grand Terrace Titans on Friday.

Ava Henderson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Arbor View saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maliah Harrell, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits Harrell has posted since back in April of 2024.

Arbor View's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Grand Terrace, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Coming up, Arbor View will take on Christian at 1:40 p.m. on Saturday. Christian's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Arbor View's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Grand Terrace, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 15-10 victory against Banning on the 21st.
