Watersprings will challenge the North Gem Cowboys at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. North Gem took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Watersprings, who comes in off a win.
Watersprings is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 66-20 win over Sho-Ban. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Watersprings considering their 12-point performance the contest before.

Korban Nelson produced another solid performance rushing for 153 yards and four scores on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 129 yards and a pair of TDs. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Watersprings' leading receiver Ryan Demkowicz was Nelson's top target yet again, picking up 68 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also punching in one score on the ground.
Watersprings didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Wyatt Iraola.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times North Gem and Challis had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Cowboys lost to the Vikings at home by a 36-20 margin on Friday. Cowboys fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Vikings since Friday.
Watersprings will have to keep a close watch on Craig Yost and William Wakely, a pair of players who had a big impact on North Gem's prior game. Yost rushed for 113 yards and three TDs, while Wakely rushed for 117 yards. North Gem is 3-1 when Yost posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
North Gem's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Watersprings, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Watersprings has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 202.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like North Gem struggles in that department as they've been averaging 292.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Watersprings was taken down by North Gem 64-22 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Will Watersprings have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
