Softball Recap: Christ's Church Academy Triumphs

Christ's Church Academy's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They never let the Cedar Creek Christian Saints get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Saints: they've now won eight in a row.

Ella Springer was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. She also launched a home run, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Marley Rutherford, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and one run.

Christ's Church Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .885. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christ's Church Academy will head out to take on St. Johns Country Day at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Christ's Church Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Cedar Creek Christian, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Harvest Community at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
