Basketball Recap: Western Harnett Comes Up Short

Western Harnett won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 53-10 loss at the hands of the Pine Forest Trojans. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost eight in a row.

Western Harnett's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Pine Forest, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season.

Western Harnett will be playing in front of their home fans against Overhills at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pine Forest, they will head out on the road to square off against Terry Sanford at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Terry Sanford will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Pine Forest surely won't give up without a fight.
