League recap: Washington extends winning streak with victory over South Atlanta

AAAA Region 6B recap October 8, 2013

Washington added to the longest winning streak in AAAA Region 6B this week by beating South Atlanta, 53-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.

Therrell's Chavis Jones and Christian Willaims have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Jones has thrown for 546 yards this season, while Willaims, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 15 catches for 261 yards. Carver's Charlie Patrick leads the league in rushing yards with 242.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Washington takes on second place Grady.

Washington led AAAA Region 6B in scoring this week after putting up 53 points on the Hornets.
