Baseball Recap: North Tahoe Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

North Tahoe hadn't done well against West Wendover recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Lakers walked away with a 9-6 win over the Wolverines. This was a revenge game for the Lakers: when they faced off against the Wolverines on Saturday, they had to take a 11-3 loss.

Noah Glickman made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out ten batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Glickman wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Peter Rusek, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and one RBI. Those two triples gave Rusek a new career-high. Another was Curtis Edmunds, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3.

North Tahoe is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for West Wendover, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. North Tahoe will take on rival Oasis Academy at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th. Meanwhile, West Wendover is set to challenge their familiar foe Battle Mountain at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
