Baseball Recap: Oakdale Takes a Loss

Oakdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Louis Catholic Saints. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Warriors have suffered since February 29, 2024.

Kylar Ballard made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for Oakdale: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 7-11 otherwise.

Oakdale's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for St. Louis Catholic, they moved to 7-11 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakdale will face off against Port Barre at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Louis Catholic, they will take on Tioga at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
