Baseball Recap: Manistee Comes Up Short

Manistee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 14-7 to the Pine River Area Bucks. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Chippewas have suffered since May 21, 2024.

Braylen Zimmerman was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-1. That hit was his first of the season.

Manistee's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Pine River Area, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Manistee will face off against Evart at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pine River Area, they will challenge Mason County Central at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Bucks surely won't give up without a fight.
