Lamar Dawson posted a new career-high in runs on Thursday. He scored three runs and stole five bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Thornton's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 2-4-1 when he doesn't).

Coming up, Dawson and Thornton will venture away from home to challenge Crete-Monee at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats haven't beaten the Warriors recently, having gone 0-10 since April of 2021.
