Richland is a perfect 8-0 against Denton since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Richland Royals will face off against the Denton Broncos at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Richland has four straight wins, Denton has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Richland proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 14) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Argyle 2-1.

Stacy Jennings made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

Jennings wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Mia Berain, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Denton suffered their biggest defeat since February 14th on Wednesday. They came up short against Birdville, falling 15-0.

Richland's record now sits at 9-3-2. As for Denton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8-1.

Everything went Richland's way against Denton in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Richland made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Richland since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
