Baseball Recap: Cheltenham's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

While Cheltenham's win against William Tennent wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Cheltenham sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over William Tennent on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for Cheltenham as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Xavi Chanoine, who went 2-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Chanoine wasn't the only one making solid contact: Cheltenham kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2024.

Cheltenham's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 3-8. As for William Tennent, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.
