Volleyball Recap: Covenant Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Forman

It was a proper cat-fight when Covenant Christian Academy duked it out with Forman on Friday. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lions. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

While Covenant Christian Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-22, 25-18.

Grace Motroni was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had five digs and two aces. Those five digs gave her a new career-high. Alex Quail was another key player, getting five digs and four aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Covenant Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Covenant Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Covenant Christian Academy will venture away from home to take on Christian Heritage at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Forman, they will head out to face off against Frederick Gunn at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
