Baseball Recap: Romeoville Comes Up Short

Romeoville lost against Joliet West back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Spartans fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Spartans have suffered against the Tigers since April 26, 2022.

This is the second loss in a row for Romeoville and nudges their season record down to 13-11. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only two runs. As for Joliet West, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-14.

While Romeoville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
