Basketball Recap: Palisades Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Blake Oglialoro and Lincoln Cook

Palisades was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 54-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Palmerton Blue Bombers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 88-63 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Lincoln Cook and Blake Oglialoro certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Cook posted 17 points, while Oglialoro scored nine points and four steals.

Palisades' loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Palmerton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season.

Palisades and Palmerton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. Palisades (ranked 668th) will meet Notre Dame-Green Pond (ranked 74th) at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Palmerton (ranked 479th) will meet Lehighton (ranked 129th) at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd.
