The Miami Country Day Spartans will challenge the Chaminade-Madonna Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Miami Country Day knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 18 contests -- so hopefully Chaminade-Madonna likes a good challenge.
Miami Country Day is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They secured a 75-70 W over Divine Savior Academy. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Sharks are ranked 105th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Miami Country Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chaim Galbut, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. Galbut is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last seven games he's played. Fernando Romero was another key player, putting up 19 points.
Miami Country Day smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Chaminade-Madonna had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 71-64 victory over the Warriors.
Miami Country Day better keep an eye on Jasen Lopez. He was instrumental in Chaminade-Madonna's win, going 9-for-13 to rack up 30 points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Lopez a new career-high in shooting accuracy (69%). Another player making a difference was Isaac Mothersill, who went 6-for-14 on his way to 13 points.
Chaminade-Madonna pushed their record up to 23-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.3 points over those games. As for Miami Country Day, their victory bumped their record up to 20-6.
Keep an eye on the arc in Monday's game: Miami Country Day has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 34.9% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Chaminade-Madonna, though, as they've only made 28.1% of their threes this season. Given Miami Country Day's sizable advantage in that area, Chaminade-Madonna will need to find a way to close that gap.
Miami Country Day didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Chaminade-Madonna in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, but they still walked away with a 66-60 win.
