Basketball Recap: Sierra Canyon Trailblazers vs. Crespi Celts

It was a good run, but the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers unfortunately witnessed the end of their 19-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of Crespi by a score of 64-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Leading Crespi to victory were Peyton White and Joe Sterling. White almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds, while Sterling scored 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Sterling hasn't dropped below 17 points for four straight games. Carter Barnes was another key contributor, scoring seven points.

Sierra Canyon's loss ended a 26-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 24-2. As for Crespi, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season.

Sierra Canyon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Crespi and the Wolverines will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Harvard-Westlake's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests.
