Soccer Game Preview: Western Harnett vs. Pine Forest

Western Harnett is 1-6 against Pine Forest since March of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Western Harnett Eagles will take on the Pine Forest Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Western Harnett has given up an average of 4.2 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Western Harnett is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Harnett Central, falling 5-2.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, Pine Forest made sure to put some goals up on the board against Westover on Friday. They never let the Wolverines get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won three contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Pine Forest pushed their record up to 4-0-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those three matchups. As for Western Harnett, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Western Harnett came out on top in a nail-biter against Pine Forest when the teams last played back in March of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Will Western Harnett repeat their success, or does Pine Forest have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
