Baseball Recap: Middleton Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Middleton's offense. They came up short against the Lakewood Ranch Mustangs on Wednesday, falling 14-0. The Tigers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Middleton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tate Hancock, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Middleton's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Lakewood Ranch, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-9 record this season.

Middleton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 14-2 defeat against Manatee on the 20th. As for Lakewood Ranch, they have also already played their next game, a 9-0 loss against Sarasota on the 20th.
