Westerville South has no trouble against Worthington Kilbourne

The Westerville South Wildcats had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They took down Worthington Kilbourne 69-50. Given Westerville South's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while Worthington Kilbourne is ranked 334th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Worthington Kilbourne lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Te'mar Lewis, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Aidan Gallogly was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven assists.

Westerville South's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Worthington Kilbourne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westerville South won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Africentric Early College at 6:30 p.m. on January 13th. As for Worthington Kilbourne, they will head out on the road to challenge St. Francis DeSales at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Francis DeSales will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
