Volleyball Recap: Ridge Community Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Ridge Community was the 3-2 winner over Auburndale when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bolts took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bloodhounds on Thursday.

Ridge Community started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-17, 25-20, 25-16.

Sophia Fetzer paced Ridge Community's offense, picking up nine kills. Fetzer got some help from Tae'Lor Slaughter and her 16 assists. Ainete Rivera controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Auburndale can attribute much of their success to Madison Whitmore, who had 19 digs.

Ridge Community's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Auburndale, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Ridge Community will square off against East Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Auburndale, they will face off against Lakeland Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
