Baseball Recap: Mazama Comes Up Short

If Mazama was riding high fresh off their 9-1 takedown of Klamath Union on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings lost 19-2 to the Henley Hornets on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-2 back in April.

Mazama saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Devyn Lobdell, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Mazama has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Henley, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 17-2-1.

While Mazama had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
