Football Game Preview: Sonora Broncos vs. McCamey Badgers

The Sonora Broncos will challenge the McCamey Badgers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sonora will be strutting in after a victory while McCamey will be coming in after a loss.

While Sonora's win against Alpine wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Broncos had just enough and edged out the Bucks 30-27. The Broncos haven't had any issues with the Bucks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

The critical scores for Sonora came from Jayden Welborn, Angel Diaz, Camden Brown, Evan Arredondo, and Jose Guerra.

Sonora was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 266 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

McCamey had taken Reagan County down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Badgers lost to the Owls at home by a 32-13 margin. The Badgers haven't had much luck with the Owls recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Sonora's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for McCamey, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Everything went Sonora's way against McCamey in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as Sonora made off with a 40-14 victory. Do the Broncos have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Badgers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
