Montour extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 7-3. They were the clear victors by a 34-13 margin over the West Allegheny Indians. 34 seems to be a good number for the Spartans as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Caden Halajcio continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 184 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 64 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Bennett, who rushed for 37 yards and one score.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Montour was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 239 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 213 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.
