There's no place like home for the McGregor Bulldogs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They managed a 37-31 victory over Clifton on Tuesday. For McGregor, this counts as revenge for the 49-28 loss Clifton walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2022.
Clifton's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brianna Gonzalez, who scored 8 points along with 8 rebounds. Gonzalez continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
McGregor's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Clifton, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
McGregor will take on Coolidge at 1:40 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Coolidge is ranked 1091st, while McGregor is ranked 1079th). As for Clifton, they will head out on the road to face off against West at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. West will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
