Football Recap: Spring Hill Victorious

Maplewood came into Friday's game looking for another win against Spring Hill, but Lionel Brooks wouldn't allow it. The Raiders walked away with a 23-11 victory over the Panthers on Friday for which the team can thank Brooks, who rushed for 167 yards and one touchdown. Brooks is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 101 every time he's taken the field this season.

One reason for the win was Spring Hill's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for eight sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece. Another thorn in Maplewood's side was Carson Huffstutler, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made eight total tackles (3.0 for loss).
