Soccer Game Preview: Clovis West vs. Clovis East

The Clovis West Golden Eagles will face off against the Clovis East Timberwolves at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Clovis West is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Central just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They and the Grizzlies finished up their matchup with a 2-2 draw. The result kept the Golden Eagles happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 16, 2024.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Clovis East was not quite Clovis North's equal in the second half on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Broncos. The loss continues a trend for the Timberwolves in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now lost six in a row.

Clovis East now has a losing record at 4-5-1. Clovis West's draw makes their record 7-3-2 this season.

Clovis West was able to grind out a solid win over Clovis East when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 2-0. Does Clovis West have another victory up their sleeve, or will Clovis East turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
