Soccer Recap: Montville Takes a Loss

If Montville was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Putnam last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Wolves fell just short of the New London Whalers by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. Montville were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as New London apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Montville dropped their record down to 3-3 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for New London, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-0-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Montville is set to square off against their familiar foe Griswold at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, New London will face off against rival St. Bernard at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
