North Thurston has gone a perfect 6-0 against Lincoln recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Rams will face off against the Abes at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (North Thurston has nine straight victories, Lincoln has 21 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
North Thurston's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Mount Tahoma 15-0. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Jaylen Kennedy made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four runs and four RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, North Thurston let Kole French and Zach Albright run wild. French got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs, while Albright went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave French a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ethan Shaefer, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
North Thurston hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in nine consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Lincoln lost 12-3 to Lakes on Tuesday.
Lincoln saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was William Ross, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
North Thurston's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 0-18.
Lincoln's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: North Thurston has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .445. It's a different story for Lincoln, though, as they've only averaged .290. Will they be able to contain North Thurston's hitters?
North Thurston was able to grind out a solid win over Lincoln in their previous matchup back in April of 2015, winning 11-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
