Softball Recap: Green Canyon Comes Up Short

After soaring to 29 runs the game before, Green Canyon was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They lost 12-2 to the Bear River Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on April 2nd.

Bailey Taylor made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Green Canyon has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for Bear River, they pushed their record up to 22-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road.

Coming up, Green Canyon will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Hunter at 3:30 p.m. As for Bear River, they will square off against Hurricane at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bears will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least ten runs in their last five games.
