Chester scaled the state rankings by moving to 519 from 561 this week, the biggest jump in Mountain Valley. The Volcanoes were able to move up by defeating Colusa 48-7.

Chester extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the RedHawks, 48-7. The win marks fifth in a row for the Terry Hernandez's team.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Volcanoes' Hunter Morris and David Estacio have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-11 quarterback Morris has thrown for 530 yards this season, while Estacio has 12 catches for 295 yards. Tristan Huegel from University Prep leads the league in rushing with 630 yards.

The top two teams in Mountain Valley will face off this week when first place Chester takes on second place Biggs. Chester defeated Colusa last week, while Biggs bested Burney.

The Wolverines' offense has racked up 149 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Volcanoes have allowed only 48 on the year.
