League recap: Royal's Kovach delivers best pitching performance from past week

Marmonte league recap: 4/3/13

Chris Kovach was the top pitcher in Marmonte this week, leading Royal. Over the past week, he racked up one win and ten strikeouts.

Colton Waltner was on fire this week, as he led the league with a .538 average, one home run and two RBIs. Meanwhile, Newbury Park put together a 2-2 week.

Agoura, the league's stolen base leader this season with 44, added to its lead in that category with 15 more steals over the past week.

Nine batters hit over .400 this week. They were led by Kenny Valentine, who hit .571 this week (4-for-7).

Nick Shur led the league with two wins this week for the Chargers. He has tossed his way to three victories this year, putting him fifth in the league.



Woodrow Wilson's Henry Baker struck out eight Agoura hitters en route to a 2-0 victory on April 1. Over six innings of work, he gave up four hits and two runs.
