Volleyball Recap: Clovis Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Clovis entered their tilt with Centennial on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Golden Hawks. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Golden Hawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Clovis not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Centennial between 17 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19, 25-17.

Lyla Rose paced Clovis' offense, picking up 16 kills. Rose got some help from Lindsey Schneider and her 23 assists. Rose also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ella Merrihew, racking up three apiece.

Clovis' win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Clovis will take on San Joaquin Memorial at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Centennial, they will be taking part in a tournament against Buchanan at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
