League recap: Elmer throws longest pass in league this season for Penns Grove

Nick Elmer and Jabrail Murray provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Pitman. The connection was good for 55 yards, the longest such play in West Jersey - Diamond this season.

Glassboro was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in the league. Earlier in the week, the Bulldogs defeated Salem 59-6.

Penns Grove's dynamic duo of Elmer and Murray proved tough for the Panthers to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Elmer threw for 242 yards and three touchdowns and Murray had 139 yards receiving. Anthony Robertson helped Penns Grove's passing attack out by catching four balls for 95 yards.

Corey Clement was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 236 yards on 11 carries as Glassboro beat Pitman. Dezman Horne also contributed to the rushing game with 50 yards on the ground.

Penns Grove's Elmer and Murray have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading West Jersey - Diamond in both passing and receiving yards. Elmer has thrown for 707 yards this season, while Murray, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 13 catches for 293 yards. Clement from Mark Maccarone's team leads the league in rushing with 1242 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Highland Regional takes on the Bulldogs. At the moment, the Tartans are in third, while Glassboro is in second.

Kemp Carr's team extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Sean Kahoun's team, 46-0. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Red Devils.
