Basketball Recap: Marshall Takes a Loss

Marshall suffered their biggest defeat since December 29, 2023 on Friday. They had to suffer through a 64-36 loss at the hands of the Sullivan Golden Arrows. The Lions have struggled against the Golden Arrows recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Sullivan's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paul Ridgway, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. Cooper Bock was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 boards.

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Sullivan, their record now sits at 5-3.

Marshall wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 58-41 defeat against Shakamak on the 28th. As for Sullivan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-38 victory against Casey-Westfield on the 28th.
