Soccer Recap: Smithville Comes Up Short

Smithville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 8-0 to the Salado Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 767th, while the Eagles are ranked 190th).

Smithville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Salado, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-3.

Looking ahead, Smithville will be playing at home against Manor New Tech at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Salado, they will venture away from home to challenge La Grange at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
