Softball Recap: Plum Triumphs

Plum lost to West Mifflin back in April of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. Plum walked away with an 8-4 victory over West Mifflin. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

The team relied heavily on Jaiden Gentile, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Gia Tavella, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Plum's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for West Mifflin, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plum will welcome Mars at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Plum is facing Mars at the right time seeing as Mars is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for West Mifflin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Belle Vernon at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The match will give West Mifflin their first taste of in-conference action this season.
