Softball Recap: Plymouth Christian Academy Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

While Plymouth Christian Academy put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Inter-City Baptist. The Eagles put the hurt on the Chargers with a sharp 7-0 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Sophie Paryaski made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 25 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Mariah Wright was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Chloe Paryaski was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Plymouth Christian Academy's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-9. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Inter-City Baptist, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-7.

Looking ahead, Plymouth Christian Academy will take on Lutheran Northwest at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Inter-City Baptist, they are taking a road trip to square off against Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
