Basketball Recap: Mounds Comes Up Short

Mounds lost against Dale back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mounds Golden Eagles were dealt a 101-16 defeat at the hands of the Dale Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 469th, while the Pirates are ranked seventh).

Mounds has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season. As for Dale, their win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-2.

As of now, neither Mounds nor Dale have any future games scheduled.
