Baseball Game Preview: Prior Lake Lakers vs. Apple Valley Eagles

The Prior Lake Lakers will square off against the Apple Valley Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Apple Valley took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Prior Lake, who comes in off a win.

On Monday, Prior Lake got the win against Burnsville by a conclusive 10-3. The Lakers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Apple Valley's offense. They came up short against Farmington on Monday, falling 10-0.

Prior Lake pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Apple Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Everything went Prior Lake's way against Apple Valley when the teams last played back in April, as Prior Lake made off with a 15-0 victory. Do the Lakers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
