Volleyball Recap: Edison Takes a Loss

Edison had taken Hoover down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Patriots. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered against the Patriots since August 16, 2023.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 25-10.

Hoover was led to victory by Bellatrix Braun and Alejandra Espino. Braun had 11 digs and seven aces, while Espino had 12 assists and three digs. Those 11 digs gave Braun a new career-high.

Edison has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-19 record this season. As for Hoover, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 27-9.

Edison wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Madera on the 23rd. As for Hoover, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Sanger West on the 23rd.
