Basketball Recap: East Davidson Takes a Loss

East Davidson lost against Thomasville two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The East Davidson Golden Eagles took a 64-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thomasville Bulldogs.

When it comes to explaining why East Davidson lost, don't look at Tegin Hedrick. Despite the final result, he posted 21 points. Hedrick's evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dayln Grady, who had 11 points.

East Davidson's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Thomasville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season.

Looking ahead, East Davidson will host West Davidson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East Davidson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.2 points per game this season. As for Thomasville, they are taking a road trip to challenge Lexington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lexington knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Thomasville likes a good challenge.
